We invite you to consider teaching with us at the American Academy for Girls in Kuwait. Our current staff consists of approximately 80 teachers and 40 support staff and classroom assistants. Although the majority of our teachers are from the United States of America and Canada, we also have teachers from Egypt, India, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Brazil, Columbia, Romania, Sri Lanka, and Jamaica.

We believe that our school is unique and we strive to be the best all girls school in Kuwait. We pride ourselves in our professionalism and want our staff to feel valued, supported, and "at home" within the family atmosphere at AAG. The staff is co-operative and strong teamwork is evident in the quality of programs we offer. Our school has an excellent reputation within the Kuwaiti community.

Housing
Our overseas teachers are housed in a new (in 2006) 12-storey apartment building that ONLY teachers from AAG and our sister school, the English Academy (TEA) live in. The single, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments are completely furnished and a short walk from the Gulf beach-front. The area is called "Salmyia" and is located a 10-15 minute bus ride from the school. The school provides air-conditioned bus transportation twice each school morning, two different times at the end of the day for those who wish to work longer at the school, and once on Saturdays for shopping.
