High School
School uniforms are to be worn by all students. Fit and length should be appropriate for school. Any questions should be directed to the principal before uniforms are made or purchased.
Students dressed inappropriately will be given a warning and a grace period of two (2) days to correct the violation.
The principal and/or her designee reserve the right to make the final decision of whether or not a student's attire is appropriate.
The following are the general guidelines for student dress at AAG:
- white polo's (either long or short sleeved, depending on the weather)
- small logos are permitted (but not those which provide advertising for other schools)
- trousers purchased from the school or made with material purchased at school and made in a style similar to that of the school's ready-made
(no jeans or tight pants are permitted)
- navy, white, red, or black sweaters (NO SWEATSHIRTS OF ANY KIND) may be worn during cooler weather with a white polo worn underneath
- no shorts at any time (except when given clear and specific directions that shorts are permissible)
- Skirts must be knee length or longer
- sandals or tennis shoes are permissible, provided that they do not hinder the student's movement through the halls or on the stairs
- make-up and jewelry are permitted at the discretion of the principal
- nylons may be worn
- PE uniforms may be purchased from AAG
- Hats are not part of the school uniform and should not be worn during school time.
