Graduation Requirements
  The American Academy for Girls' diploma is awarded to individuals who have successfully completed a minimum of eight (8) semesters of academic work beyond the eighth grade level and have earned a minimum of twenty-eight (28) units of high school credit, twenty (21) of which must be those prescribed as follows.
Required Courses Required Credit 
English 4 credits English is required each year
Social Studies 3 credits Four credits are recommended
Mathematics 3 credits To include Algebra I & II and Geometry
Science 3 credits To include two lab courses
Foreign Language 2 credits French and Spanish (Arabic is accepted)
Physical Education 2 credits Required every year
Fine Arts 1 credit Music, art, and drama are offered
Computers 1 credit Students are encouraged to take full advantage of all courses offered.
Electives 9 credits  

  Enrollment in Arabic as a Foreign Language is required of all 9th grade non-native speakers. All native speakers of Arabic are required to enroll in Arabic. Study of Islam is required of all Moslems.
